CHAPLAIN - MAIN PURPOSE and GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a full-time position at Turfway Park & Belterra Park, supervised by andreporting to the Director of Ministry Staff of KRTC.
The chaplain provides aministry of presence to the racetrack workers through daily walks in barn areas,weekly visits to the racetrack staff, and daily office hours for consultations.
Ministerial services include weekly worship, Bible studies, prayer circles, outreachministries, and community events for clothing, food, and recreation.
The chaplainnetworks with churches and civic organizations to develop support andparticipation; participates in Board of Director meetings, providing reports ofactivities; performs other duties as requested.
This position fulfills the vision,mission and values of KRTC, ensuring that the functions are inter-denominationaland consistent with the Statement of Faith of the Chaplaincy.
Oral and writtenfluency in both English and Spanish is required.
CHAPLAIN - RESPONSIBILITIES, PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES and KEY RESULTS AREAS:
Establishes and maintains a spiritual presence for the workers and their familymembers by walking the barns daily while they work, visiting with them on aformal and informal basis as needed, and participating in their church-relatedactivities.
Minsters to and develops effective relationships with key racetrack managementpersonnel Establishes relationship and conducts prayer with track personnel, by request orinitiative--including, but not limited to, backside workers, track crew, jockeys,starting gate workers, pony riders, track administration, frontside employees, etc.
Leads weekly worship, Bible studies, prayer groups, and other activities for thespiritual enrichment and discipleship of workers and their families.
Coordinates and officiates at church-related services, i.
e.
, baptisms, weddings,funerals, memorials, etc.
Ministers broadly to the racetrack community by providing short-termcounseling, visitation to the sick and homebound, and crisis intervention.
Functions with flexibility in schedule, available for evenings and weekends, bothon and off the track, while maintaining regular/weekly office hours; leads a dailymorning devotional over the public-address system during the track maintenanceand training break each and every morning.
Liaises with the racetrack administration and all the other offices and agenciesaffiliated with the horse racing community.
Works with the KRTC Board of Directors as required.
Works in voluntary partnerships with the National Race Track Chaplaincy ofAmerica (RTCA) organization (for annual meeting).
Responds appropriately and legally to local, state, and federal officials,immigration agencies, and immigration attorneys.
Seeks regular (50 per year) opportunities within the larger community to advancethe mission of KRTC by informing churches, organizations and others about thebackside community with aspirations for drawing them closer in support,involvement, and solidarity with this ministry.
Attends conferences and workshops annually to enhance ministry skills.
Stands as a witness in love and service to our Lord Christ Jesus.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT AS A RACE TRACK CHAPLAIN:
Baptized believer and follower of Jesus Christ Spiritually mature (not a new believer) Ordained by recognized, accredited evangelical Body of Christ (withcredentials).
Two years of recent ministerial experience in a ministry or church, withreferences.
A ministerial degree or ministerial training certification from an accreditedUniversity, Bible college, or higher learning institution.
Be an unbiased and non-objective third party with no financial or personalinterest at the facility in which you serve.
Meet the criteria outlined in I Timothy 3:
1-7 and other related scripturepassages that define the qualifications of an Elder such as Titus 1:
5-9, Acts14:
23, 2 Timothy 2:
2, I Peter 5:
1-5, I Timothy 5:
17-18, Hebrews 13:
17, James3:
1, Acts 20:
28-30; and others.
Must agree and adhere to the KRTC Bylaws and the KRTC Statement of Faith.
Oral and written fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Successful candidate must have the approval of the RTCA Chaplain Screening Committee.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
